Are water bottles allowed in NYCC? ›

Some helpful tips for NYCC: -Make sure to bring lots of snacks to eat in line. Bring a refillable water bottle. They don't allow bottled water into the Javits Center anymore.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate bags larger than a carry-on. Every person must have a ticket.

A comic book convention (one-day event) or comic con is a fan convention with a primary focus on comic books and comic book culture, in which comic book fans gather to meet creators, experts, and each other.

In New York State, it is against the law to drink from or have an open container of alcohol in a public place. This law does not apply to residences or business establishments with liquor licenses, but it does prohibit drivers and passengers from possessing or consuming an open container of alcohol in the car.

New York City water meets all federal and state standards and is safe to drink. Chlorine odors may be more noticeable when the weather is warmer. The most effective way to eliminate or reduce the taste is by leaving a glass or pitcher of your tap water in the refrigerator overnight before drinking.

Are panels at MCM Comic Con free? Panels are FREE for all ticket holders, and can take various formats, such as roundtable discussions, presentations, Q&A sessions, interactive games, live performances, or even story time for the little ones!

Please do not give your badge to a friend or to people outside the Convention Center when you leave Comic-Con. Security will perform random ID checks throughout the convention, so make sure the name on your badge matches your photo ID!

Friday and Saturday usually have the highest-profile events. Saturday is also the most crowded on the convention floor. Friday also usually has a lot of Star Wars events. Sunday is lighter on events, but also has a lot of kid-friendly programming.

Airspace (Balloons, Drones, etc.) No devices may be flown or tethered within the confines of the Exhibit Hall or at any WonderCon function inside or outside of the Anaheim Convention Center. This includes drones, helium balloons and helium-filled products, or any lighter-than-air objects either powered or unpowered.

What should I wear to Comic-Con? ›

If you're not in cosplay, wear something that you'll be able to move in, stand in line in, and be comfortable in for upwards of 12 hours. I personally wear leggings with baggy tee shirts or cotton dresses. I always pack a sweater or hoodie as well, just in case the hotel or convention center is cold.

Comic Con is not the place you want to take cash out of an ATM or accidentally misplace your credit card. Bring cash and take it out of your account before you arrive at the convention. Food, admission, and transportation are the big ticket purchases that are necessary to attend Comic Con.

There are no statewide mandatory water use restrictions in place under a drought watch, but residents are strongly encouraged to voluntarily conserve water.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order yesterday banning the sale of single-use plastic beverage bottles on city-owned and -leased properties — which means the bottles could vanish from an area nearly equivalent to a quarter of the city.

During the summer months, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) provides portable Water-On-The-Go fountains in all five boroughs for drinking and filling up water bottles. As of 30 days from Jan. 23, when the final rule was published in the city record, it will be perfectly legal for restaurant staff to serve water to patrons whether or not they ask for it. However, this repeal does not mean that restaurants are legally obligated to pour water for every patron.
